Gotta hide my felt pen breath

Last time we talked about the importance of building a relationship with your readers, and doing it by having a series of videos to read aloud.

Last time we didn’t talk about the influence that the scent of felt pens have on our cats.

This time we’re going to talk about how to link the videos using YouTube’s “spotlights.”

A Fast, Free Way to Make a Funny Video

Cat of Mystery

Worried about consuming lots of time? Concerned about spending too much money? Confused about the gender of your cat?

Fear no more!

A great way to make a funny video quickly and without spending a dime is by going to www.xtranormal.com.

Check out the video I made this morning while my cat Leo, who I KNOW is male, sat on my lap. The video is about my suspense novel The Torah Codes on Kickstarter.com.

P.S. To determine the gender of your cat: If your cat has a boy’s name like Leo, it’s a male cat. If your cat has a girl’s name like Samantha, it’s a female cat.

Why Authors Are the Best Video Marketers

Well? What would YOU write?

Today I was wondering what I should blog about and I had writer’s block. But only for a split second.

If anyone knows me well enough, they know that I never have writer’s block. I use my secret weapon for overcoming writer’s block.

Since my secret weapon for overcoming writer’s block has little to do with this post, seek – if you so desire – the secret weapon below.

Video Marketing

Video is only partly good at driving traffic. In fact, if people use video to drive traffic, they’re missing the point of video entirely.

Secret to Succesful Video Marketing

Drat! You found out!I just finished an awesome session teaching the folks at my webinar great ways to get your video seen.

The reason it was so great is because it directly addressed a criticism I’ve frequently heard:

You have too much fun.

No, wait, that wasn’t it.

Having a video doesn’t make you get more clients or turn you into a bestselling author (if your video is a book trailer).

Video is Not Enough

True! Like a website, having one doesn’t mean people will see it! But for those who are trying to get more clients online without having a website or video, how’s that working out for you?

Success brings bizarre and fun phone calls

Beware: You, too, will get calls like this…

when presenting your business the right way.

I did an analysis of my three ideas for an online business.
Video marketing won.

Now I get calls from people excited to work with me, but
so far none have given me free ice cream. Not counting my
wife. I get free ice cream and chocolate from her every so
often, but not from my clients. They just want to pay me.

I can show you how to evaluate your own online business,
but be warned. You won’t get clients offering you free ice
cream. They’ll just want to pay you.

Do you want to learn how to evaluate your own ideas for
an online business? If I get 15 comments  (from different
people) saying, “Yes! I don’t care about not getting free
ice cream! Show me how to evaluate my online business!”
then I’ll post the step-by-step process on how to do it.

So go ahead. Put in your comment below.

This sentence has nothing to do with the above post. Please
disregard it.

If I can't have chocolate chip...

In previous posts we covered a lot about what doesn’t work for a book trailer. Now let’s get down to the Nutter Butter cookies. (Wouldn’t you rather get down to the Nutter Butter than to the nitty gritty? Nitty gritty tastes like sand.)

The Three Things Your Book Trailer Must Have

Have you ever seen a commercial and said, “Wow! I don’t know what that was a commercial for, but it sure was awesome!” So, the first thing your book trailer absolutely, positively must have is clarity over what the book trailer is for.
